The COPO Cars SUPERCAR -- Chevrolet already made the fastest cars on the street, but thanks to their racing efforts, they had a full catalog of banzai parts that would make their cars go even faster. If you knew the right numbers, and could get to the right salespeople at the right dealerships, you could order a street-legal racecar direct from the factory. They were called COPOs, for Central Office Production Order. One more reason to love the sixties!
